Public Meeting on Scandinavian Wine
The Faculty of Viticulture and Enology at Caucasus International University hosted a public lecture dedicated to the development of winemaking in Sweden and the future prospects of the industry. The session was led by Karl-Johan Fabo, a researcher from Tokaj University (Hungary) and a freelance author specializing in Swedish nature and gardens.
During the lecture, titled “Scandinavian Wines: A Passing Trend or an Industry of the Future? – Sweden’s Emerging Winemaking Sector”, the speaker discussed in detail the trends in viticulture development across Northern Europe, climatic challenges, and the potential enabling Swedish wine to establish itself on the international market.
The meeting featured an active Q&A session, and at the concluding part of the lecture, the audience and students had the opportunity to participate in a tasting and sample Swedish wines first-hand.
