Information For Applicants/Students of Caucasus International University Regarding Tuition Fee Refund Policy
Caucasus International University, based on its internal regulatory documentation, ensures a fair and transparent financial policy.
Application and Tuition Fee Refund
- The NCEQE application fee (if applicable) is non-refundable, regardless of the application result and/or the applicant’s/student’s decision to withdraw from studies.
- In accordance with the University’s internal regulations and contractual terms, foreign citizen applicants/students are entitled to a tuition fee refund only if, prior to the commencement of studies, their visa application is officially rejected by the Georgian Consulate/Embassy for reasons beyond the applicant’s control (including state security concerns or other objective circumstances), and/or if they are denied entry at the Georgian state border (due to state security issues and/or other related reasons). Upon submission of complete supporting documentation, the University shall refund the paid tuition fee within 30 calendar days.
- Applicants/students who are unable to join the academic process on time due to objective reasons (e.g., visa procedures or other objective circumstances) may request to retain the paid amount and defer their studies. In case of restoration of student status, the retained amount will be credited toward tuition fees.
If a student decides not to restore their status and not to continue their studies after deferral, the tuition fee will not be refunded.
Tuition Fee Refund Procedure
- To initiate the refund process, the applicant/student must submit the following documentation: an official written request for tuition fee refund, payment receipts, a valid identification document, an official visa refusal letter or document confirming denial of entry at the Georgian state border , round-trip airline tickets, Bank-certified account details from which the payment was made (the bank details must include full information: beneficiary’s full name, beneficiary’s account number – IBAN, bank code, beneficiary’s registration city and country, and full address. (If complete bank details are not provided, the bank will not process the transfer.) The refund request, together with all attached documents, must be sent to the University’s official email address: ciu@ciu.edu.ge, with the subject line:
“Tuition Fee Refund Request – Full Name of the Student, Passport Number.”
The refund shall be made via bank transfer to the account used for payment, no later than 30 calendar days after submission of complete documentation. If the above-mentioned information and documentation are not provided, or if the applicant/student fails to join the academic process after the commencement of studies, the tuition fee paid shall not be refunded.
In case of submission of false information and/or forged documentation, the tuition fee will not be refunded, and the University will take appropriate actions accordingly.
