A series of interactive workshops was organized by the Life-Long Learning and Career Development Service of Caucasus International University (CIU) to support students’ personal growth and professional development. This practical educational program aimed to promote opportunities for lifelong learning and personal development, strengthen skills related to self-awareness, self-efficacy, and responsibility, and cultivate the competencies necessary for professional advancement.

The workshops were led by Tamar Janiashvili—a certified soft skills trainer, member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Georgia Chapter, certified coach (EPC) from Erickson International University, and founder of the studio “Happy Place”. The sessions were moderated by Guram Liluashvili, Head of the Life-Long Learning and Career Development Service.

Over the course of four sessions, participants explored key topics such as self-awareness and authenticity, transforming crisis situations into opportunities for growth, understanding personal beliefs and values, boosting self-confidence, and achieving personal well-being.

“We held workshops at Caucasus International University aimed at fostering new discoveries in the students’ personal and professional development—specifically, how to overcome crises by viewing them not as obstacles or failures, but as catalysts for growth. The sessions also sought to boost their self-confidence, a fundamental element of success. I was pleasantly surprised by the students’ level of engagement; each of them demonstrated great interest and active participation. They were also open and sincere—qualities a trainer values most in an audience. They all showed a genuine desire for self-improvement, and I am confident they will make many new discoveries and approach future choices with a fresh perspective”, noted Tamar Janiashvili.

As part of the project, students had the opportunity to explore their capabilities, personal resources, and professional goals through practical exercises and interactive activities.

It is worth noting that a memorandum of understanding was signed between Caucasus International University and “Happy Place”, aimed at creating professional development and lifelong learning opportunities for students and alumni.

Additionally, five students were awarded an individual coaching session with a trainer, which will help them define their personal and professional development paths and create individual development plans.
