Visit by the Chair of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia

On September 28, Caucasus International University hosted Giorgi Jincharadze, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, and Giorgi Dzadzamia, Minister of Education and Culture as part of the traditional “Abkhazia Week”. A thematic exhibition dedicated to Abkhazia was also organized in the university foyer within the framework of the visit.

The guests met with Vakhtang Tsivtsivadze, Chancellor of Caucasus International University, to discuss existing institutional cooperation and explore prospects for future partnership.

The meeting proceeded in the Zhiuli Shartava Auditorium, where representatives of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia discussed their activities and priorities, with particular emphasis on educational initiatives supporting internally displaced persons. The discussion also addressed projects aimed at supporting the population living in the temporarily occupied territories, peace policy, and the challenges associated with these efforts. 

The event, moderated by Giorgi Pareshishvili, Advisor to the Rector and Associate Professor, continued with presentations by representatives of the university. The audience was addressed by Rector Kakhaber Kordzaia, Marina Gedevanishvili, Head of the Quality Assurance Office, Ekaterine Chalaghanidze, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, and Professor Vakhtang Maisaia.

The meeting concluded with an interactive session, during which students had the opportunity to ask members of the Government questions of interest and relevance to them and received comprehensive answers.
