American Professor Adam Stulberg Presents the Innovative Analytical System RuBase

On September 8, a training course titled “RuBase/StratBase: Update and Overview” was conducted by Professor Adam Stulberg, Chair of the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at the Georgia Institute of Technology (USA). The event was co-organized by Caucasus International University and the Institute of Conflict Studies of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

Before the presentation, the audience was welcomed by Ekaterine Chalaganidze, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of Caucasus International University, and Professor Vakhtang Maisaia, Head of the Master’s Educational Programs in International Relations and International Security / Global Politics and Security Studies. The first part of the meeting was facilitated by Zurab Abashidze, Professor of Tbilisi State University and a Diplomat. The guest and the audience were also welcomed by Professor Guguli Maghradze, Director of the Institute of Conflict Studies at TSU. Experts and researchers in the field of international relations and security actively participated in the event.

The main topic of the meeting was RuBase - a research database and analytical initiative that aims to transform knowledge about Russia using artificial intelligence and data science. The project was created in close cooperation between the Hague Center for Strategic Studies (HCSS) and the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech).

Professor Adam Stulberg is a recognized expert on international security, nuclear policy, and energy geopolitics. He earned his PhD in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and has consulted at various times for organizations such as the RAND Corporation, the U.S. Department of Defense and the Carnegie Corporation.

The second part of the event was conducted as an interactive workshop, moderated by Professor Vakhtang Maisaia. The session focused on the fundamental principles of the RuBase analytical system and its practical applications. The meeting continued in a question-and-answer session, where the audience had the opportunity to receive comprehensive answers and professional insights from the American professor on current issues of geopolitics, artificial intelligence analytics, and regional security.
