    New International Academic Publication: Mass Communication in the Digital Era

    The international academic publishing house Brill | V&R unipress has released a new academic volume titled “Mass Communication in the Digital Era”. This publication is the result of a collaboration between researchers from Caucasus International University and the University of Gdańsk and is dedicated to the transformation of mass communication in the modern digital age.

    The volume presents 15 studies covering a wide range of topics, including the development of digital media and platforms, multimodal communication, streaming platforms, the role of artificial intelligence in journalism and the shaping of the news agenda, shifts in social media and audience dynamics, visual communication, and the transformation of public service broadcasting.

    A significant part of the collection is devoted to the role of media in contemporary political and social processes—specifically addressing information warfare, disinformation, digital manipulation, war narratives, and the formation of public opinion. The publication also examines the potential of digital media to facilitate access to cultural knowledge and promote cultural heritage and intercultural dialogue.

    The editors of the collection are Tatiana Kananowicz and Sesili Gogiberidze.
