WINE TOURISM
A joint project of Caucasus International University (CIU), Georgian Wine Tourism Association (GETA) and the Global Wine Tourism Organization (GWTO) announces admission to the certificate course – “Wine Tourism”.
Wine tourism course is designed for those interested in wine tourism. The aim of the course is to provide or deepen theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of wine tourism.
Course Outline
I Meeting – Wine Tourism in Georgia
- Definition of wine tourism
- Main parties involved in wine tourism and role
- Geography of Georgian Wine Tourism

II Meeting – Viticulture and Winemaking
- Main Georgian grape varieties
- Basic technological schemes of wine making
- Qvevri and qvevri wine making technology
- Classification of wines

III Meeting – Art of Wine Tasting
- Wine aromas and limits for its perception

VII Meeting – Marketing of Wine Tourism

IX Meeting – Family Winery “Georgino” (Practice)

Training Details:
Dates: November 24, 25, 26 and December 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11
Three days a week, 3 hours per day
Wednesday-Thursday-Friday: From 18:45 to 21:45
Saturday: from 12:00 to 15:00
Total Hours: 27 hours
Tuition Fees – 550 GEL
• Practice in Spanish Wineries
A successful graduate will gain the opportunity to undergo a two-week professional internship for free in Spain.
• Certificate: A bilingual certificate issued by Caucasus International University (CIU), Georgian Wine Tourism Association (GETA) and the Global Wine Tourism Organization (GWTO) upon the successful completion of the course.

CIU Doctoral Students Visit the University of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria
From April 17 to 28, Bulgaria, in particular the University of Veliko Tarnovo hosted ten researchers from Caucasus International University. “Geriatric Assistant” - Opening of the Training Process
On May 1, an opening ceremony of the professional training program - “Geriatric Assistant” was held at Caucasus International University. This educational initiative is implemented within the framework of the Tbilisi Municipality City Hall project “Learn and Get Employed”, which aims to promote vocational education and support employment. The program has enrolled its full cohort of 15 participants and will run for the duration of 8 weeks.
