    On April 8, Caucasus International University hosted a training session on the topic: “How to Prepare and Publish Articles in Journals Indexed in Scopus and WoS Databases”.

    The training was led by Tea Kasradze, Professor at the Faculty of Business and Technology and Head of the Doctoral Program in Business Administration.

    The academic staff of the Faculty of Business and Technology, along with students of the Doctoral Program in Business Administration participated in the event.

    During the training, participants received comprehensive information about the importance of publishing in internationally indexed scientific databases such as Scopus and Web of Science. They were guided through all key stages of the publication process, including research planning, journal selection, peer review and article indexing.

    The session covered the following topics:

    • The significance of publishing in Scopus and an overview of how indexing systems operate;
    • Assessing research readiness — formulating a clear research question, ensuring ethical compliance, and maintaining methodological rigor;
    • Selecting an appropriate journal — identifying Scopus-indexed journals, aligning with a scope of a journal and audience, and avoiding predatory publications;
    • Preparing a scientific manuscript — applying the IMRaD structure, crafting a strong abstract, selecting keywords, citation styles, and formatting tables and figures;
    • The submission process —cover letter, preparing data availability statements and addressing authorship and ORCID requirements;
    • Navigating the peer-review process — understanding editorial decisions and responding effectively to reviewers’ feedback;
    • Indexing and post-publication steps — how articles are indexed in Scopus and WoS, managing author profiles and tracking citations.

    The training was conducted in an interactive format, incorporating practical guidance and real-life examples. Participants gained valuable information on how to enhance the visibility of their research and successfully publish it in high-impact international journals.
