Training Series for the Faculty of Viticulture and Enology Students
Theoretical and practical sessions are being held for students of the Faculty of Viticulture and Enology at Caucasus International University under the auspices of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), within the framework of the EU- and Sweden-funded ENPARD IV project.
The training program covers topics of strategic importance and current relevance to the agricultural sector, such as climate-smart agriculture, integrated pest management and the safe use of pesticides, as well as sustainable water resource management, soil care, and fertilization. In addition to gaining theoretical knowledge, students will have the opportunity to reinforce their experience during a full-day practical field session.
At the opening meeting, Faculty Coordinator Lasha Bodaveli, speaking on behalf of the university and the dean’s office, thanked the FAO team for their long-standing, productive partnership. It is worth noting that, with FAO support, numerous significant projects have been implemented over the years at the Faculty of Viticulture and Enology, with active participation from CIU students and alumni.
