    Public Lecture – “Occupational Safety and Healthcare in Georgian Business Sector”

    On November 18, a meeting on the topic “Occupational Safety and Healthcare in Georgian Business Sector” was organized by the Faculty of Business and Technology at Caucasus International University.

    The lecture was delivered by Mariam Kadaria, a graduate of CIU Bachelor’s Educational Program in Management. Mariam currently heads the Occupational Safety and Environmental Technology Program at the Safety College, is an accredited trainer at the Safety Academy with seven years of educational experience, and serves as the Executive Director of the Occupational Safety and Health Association with six years of management experience. In addition, she pursues her academic development by studying in CIU Doctoral Program in Business Administration.

    During the public lecture, Mariam Kadaria used regional and international examples to explain why occupational safety is not only a legal requirement but also a key prerequisite for business stability and employee well-being. Students learned how standards are evolving, what responsibilities employers bear, and why building an effective safety culture is essential for the long-term success of any organization.

    Before the event began, the guest and audience were welcomed by Ketevan Nanobashvili, Dean of CIU Faculty of Business and Technology and Mamuka Toria, Head of the Bachelor’s Educational Program in Management. The interactive format of the meeting also allowed students to ask questions and share their views.
