A public defense of the dissertation thesis by Natia Popkhadze, a student of the Doctoral Program in Mass Communication, Caucasus International University was held on July 23, 2026. The title of the dissertation thesis was: “The New Agenda of Traditional Media: The Digital Portfolio of the Georgian Public Broadcaster “Channel One”.
The scientific supervisor of the dissertation was Khatuna Kacharava, Doctor of Social Sciences in the field of Journalism, Professor at Caucasus International University. The official reviewers were: Marine Vekua, Doctor of Journalism, Professor at Georgian International University (GIU) and Zaza Tsotniashvili, Doctor of Social Sciences, Professor at Caucasus International University.
After presenting the dissertation thesis and completing the relevant procedures, by the decision of the Dissertation Council, Natia Popkhadze was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Mass Communication.
