The International Animation Film Festival “Nikozi” was opened in the village of Nikozi, Gori Municipality on September 1. The festival, which has been held since 2011, hosts guests from various countries of the world. The events will continue until September 7 and include screenings of works by both Georgian and foreign directors, exhibitions, classical music concerts, and folklore evenings.
It is noteworthy that, by the decision of Mr. Vakhtang Tsivtsivadze, the Chancellor of Caucasus International University, the university has supported the festival for the second year already.
Within the framework of the event, Ms. Tamar Inasaridze, the Deputy Rector of Caucasus International University addressed the audience, highlighting the significance of the festival and the university support. The event was also attended by Mr. Giorgi Pareshishvili, Advisor to the Rector of Caucasus International University.
Particularly noteworthy in the organization of the festival are the efforts of Metropolitan Isaiah of Nikozi and Tskhinvali and the Nikozi Art School.
The ceramics studio “Nikozi” was officially opened within the framework of the day, and an exhibition of ceramic works was held.
The opening ceremony of the festival was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, international missions, and local authorities.
