10:00 AMGITA University Innovation and Technology Competition UNI4VERSE – FINEDU Opens
The large-scale university competition UNI4VERSE, organized by the Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA), is back! The project is implemented in partnership with FinEdu, the educational platform of the National Bank of Georgia, and with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia.
The main theme of this year’s competition is FinTech (financial technology). Students have the opportunity to create innovative, technology-driven solutions to real-world financial challenges.
What challenges will the participants address?
- Integration of financial services: Integrating new financial technologies with existing systems is complex, while consumers struggle to choose the optimal option from a wide range of services.
- Long-term planning: Long-term financial decisions (such as investments and pension savings) are perceived as complicated processes, leading to low engagement.
- Financial security: Consumers often fall victim to financial fraud and cybercrime due to a lack of awareness and careless behavior.
- Everyday finances: People struggle to manage daily expenses wisely, stick to a budget, and build savings for specific goals.
- Small Business Cash Flow: Small businesses lack simple tools to forecast cash flow, leading to unexpected financial crises.
Why Should You Participate?
- The first-place student team will travel to the global technology conference, Web Summit!
- A grant of 20,000 GEL will be awarded.
Who Can Participate?
- The competition is open to bachelor’s and master’s students from any faculty who are 17 years of age or older. Registration is accepted only on a team basis.
- Following the internal selection process, one best-performing team from our university will advance to the final stage of the competition and represent the university. Each team must consist of 2–4 students and 1 mentor.
Competition Schedule:
- Information sessions & workshops at the university
- Online sessions on refining ideas and preparing pitch decks
- October 26–30: Intensive training (AI/ML, Software Development, Entrepreneurship), mentorship, and prototyping at FabLab
- November 2: Demo Day at Tbilisi Technopark

Dentistry Professors at an International Congress in Prague
From September 4 to 7, the FDI World Dental Congress—one of the most significant international dental congresses organized by the World Dental Federation (FDI)— was held in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. Ms. Lela Tsitaishvili, Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Head of the Dentistry Program at Caucasus International University, and Assistant Professor Lana Gedenidze presented their research paper, “Psychosocial Stress and Oral Health in Institutionalized Georgian Children,” to the international scientific and professional community.
