    Giorgi Paresishvili’s Visit to Warsaw

    On November 6–7, the Institute of Political Science and Public Administration of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw hosted the 5th Biennial International Conference on the Religion and Politics, titled: “Supreme Guarantee Against all Abuses of Power? Question of God and Existence of Politics,” in memory of Pope John Paul II held in Warsaw, Poland.

    Giorgi Paresishvili — Doctor of Political Science, Advisor to the Rector of Caucasus International University, and Associate Professor delivered a presentation at the conference with the support of Caucasus International University.

    His presentation was attended by Professor George Weigel, the biographer of Pope John Paul II, a well-known American neoconservative and political analyst, who highly praised Giorgi Paresishvili’s presentation and expressed interest in future collaboration.

    The organizers of the conference were: Collegium Interethnicum (Poland), Ave Maria School of Law (Naples, Florida, USA) and Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw.

    The event was supported by: University of Warsaw, University of Opole, University of Zielona Góra, International Catholic Jurist Forum, and the Catholic Association “Civitas Christiana” (Poland). 

    Scientists from around 30 countries participated in this year’s conference, which is traditionally held biennially.
