International Scientific Conference and Publication

“Climate-Smart Communication and Reporting” is the first academic and analytical platform in the South Caucasus.
The event, scheduled for December 9–12, unites presentations, research papers and practical discussions held with the engagement of subject-matter experts.
The conference aims to:
∙ Identify the best practices and existing challenges in climate and agricultural reporting;
∙ Assess the socio-economic impact of informed communication on rural and farming communities;
∙ Highlight the role of education, cross-border cooperation and media partnership;
∙ Establish a foundation for a long-term regional research and educational network on climate-smart communication.
It is noteworthy that the conference also includes a media award ceremony, where the winners of the international media competition will be announced - journalists who have effectively and creatively covered climate change, sustainable agriculture and local development issues.
The event is an initiative of the Journalism Resource Center (JRC), previously implemented in Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. Its activities in the field of climate-smart journalism and agro-communication aim to strengthen educational collaboration between universities and regional media.
