Defense of Mariam Gelashvili’s Dissertation Thesis
A public defense of the dissertation thesis by Mariam Gelashvili, a student of the Doctoral Educational Program in Law at Caucasus International University was held on July 28, 2026. The title of the dissertation thesis is: “Criminal Law Mechanisms for Release from Imprisonment: Parole, House Arrest and Community Service (Evolution and Transformation)”.
The scientific supervisor of the thesis is Gia Meparishvili, Doctor of Law, Professor at Caucasus International University. The official reviewers are: Moris Shalikashvili, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor at the faculty of Law, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Temur Tskitishvili, Doctor of Law, Assistant Professor at the faculty of Law, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
After presenting the dissertation thesis and completing the relevant procedures, by the decision of the Dissertation Council, Mariam Gelashvili was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Law.
