12:27 PMCIU Scientific Project Presented at a Dental Congress in Vienna
Lela Tsitaishvili, Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Head of the Dentistry Program at Caucasus International University (CIU), participated in the 50th Austrian Dental Congress held in Vienna. During the event, she delivered an oral presentation on a university scientific project titled: "Bridging Dental Education and Public Health: The Caucasus International University (CIU) Model for Enhancing Public Health Competencies”.
The congress was held in the capital of Austria from October 1–3 and was organized by the Austrian Society for Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine – Vienna (ÖGZMK – Vienna). The central theme of the event — “Dentistry: From Tradition to Innovation”—brought together traditional dental practices, modern scientific achievements, and innovative approaches.
The project focuses on the integration of dental education and public health, the strengthening of professional competencies for future dentists, and the development of preventive approaches.
Participation in the international scientific congress and the presentation of the project enabled Caucasus International University to showcase its experience in integrating dental education and public health to the international professional and academic community, share scientific expertise, and gain insight into current trends in the field.
