The 2025-2026 season in the Georgian Futsal Major League ended with the triumph of Caucasus International University team. In the fourth match of the play-off final series, CIU defeated its main rival, “New Vision Georgians”, with a score of 4:2, winning the series 3:1 and being awarded the title of the country’s champion for the third time in history.
After winning the Futsal Cup, this is the second most important award for the “Caucasians” this season. The team is now preparing for the third title of the season - the Super Cup, and later, together with the best clubs in Europe, they will compete in the Futsal Champions League.
At the official ceremony held after the match, the Secretary General of the Georgian Football Federation, Davit Mujiri, and the President of the Futsal Association, Levan Tskitishvili, awarded the champions with gold medals and the championship cup.
The Georgian Football Federation and Association also revealed the best nominees for the 2025-2026 season, where CIU representatives dominate:
- Best Goalkeeper - Ali Aslan;
- Best Defender - Saba Tkeshelashvili;
- Best Forward - Janiko Giorgaia;
- Best Coach - Levan Kobaidze;
- Best Scorer - Janiko Giorgaia (21 goals);
- Best Footballer of the Season - Ali Aslan.
It is noteworthy that CIU goalkeeper Ali Aslan became the only player of the season who won two individual nominations at the same time - the positions of the best goalkeeper of the year and the best football player of the season.
