CIU at StudFest 2026 Opening
Caucasus International University has joined a large-scale student festival – “Studfest 2026”.
The event opened with a large-scale event in Rustavi. The project, which has been traditionally implemented since 2014, is gaining even wider scope this year and brings together more than 20,000 students from almost all higher education institutions in Georgia
The festival program began with sports competitions at the Rustavi Sports Palace, and then the process moved to the city streets: thousands of students organized a ceremonial procession from Kostava Avenue to Rustavi Central Park.
Representatives of the executive and local authorities addressed the young people gathered at the event in the Central Park. Mr. Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia, Mr. Kakha Kaladze, Tbilisi Mayor, Mr. Givi Mikanadze, Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, and Ms. Nino Latsabidze, Rustavi Mayor placed emphasis on the significance of such initiatives in the process of self-realization and socialization of young people. The speakers wished the participants success in the diverse activities planned for the coming weeks.
“StudFest 2026” will not be limited to the capital city and Rustavi. The cycle of cultural and sports events will continue in various cities of Georgia: Kutaisi, Gori, Batumi, Zugdidi, Akhaltsikhe and Telavi.
At the final stage of the festival, the winning higher education institution of the year will be revealed - the title will be awarded to the university whose representatives will be able to win the most activities in total.
“StudFest 2026” is being held at the initiative of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, with the funding of the LEPL Youth Agency. The organizers are: Tbilisi City Hall, Rustavi City Hall and the Association of Student Organizations of Georgia.
The festival day ended with a concert by the band “Ursa”.

“Geriatric Assistant” - Opening of the Training Process
On May 1, an opening ceremony of the professional training program - “Geriatric Assistant” was held at Caucasus International University. This educational initiative is implemented within the framework of the Tbilisi Municipality City Hall project “Learn and Get Employed”, which aims to promote vocational education and support employment. The program has enrolled its full cohort of 15 participants and will run for the duration of 8 weeks.
