From September 10 to 14, Tbilisi hosted the Real Madrid Foundation Basketball Camp for the first time in the region. Caucasus International University held the five-day camp at its new, state-of-the-art sports complex.

The five-day camp brought together 80 young basketball players, who were divided into different age groups. Throughout the program, participants trained under the guidance of professional coaches from the Real Madrid Foundation and took part in the Foundation’s specially designed sports and educational activities. As part of the camp, each participant received sports equipment and commemorative gifts.

The young basketball players had the opportunity to gain practical experience and valuable advice from professional coaches, learn about methodologies related to technical and athletic development in basketball, and enhance their skills.

At the closing ceremony of the event, speeches were delivered by Beka Tsivtsivadze, project organizer, representative of VB Sports Management, head coach of Caucasus International University basketball team, and director of CIU Basketball Academy; Irakli Dolaberidze, Deputy Minister of Sport of Georgia; Irakli Gvilava, Head of the Tbilisi City Hall Municipal Service for Culture, Education, Sport, and Youth Affairs; Xavier Bellmont Roldán, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Spain in Georgia; Koba Kobiashvili, representative of the Georgian Basketball Federation and President of the Super League; and Real Madrid Foundation coaches David González and Mónica Flo.
