A Public Meeting of Representatives of Tbilisi Gldani-Nadzaladevi District Prosecutor’s Office was Held with Students at CIU
On April 26, a public meeting of representatives of Tbilisi Gldani-Nadzaladevi District Prosecutor’s Office was held with students on the topic: “Organized Crime, Existing Legislation, Achievements and Challenges” at Caucasus International University.
The main speakers of the public lecture were the prosecutor of the Gldani-Nadzaladevi District Prosecutor’s Office Mariam Begiashvili and the prosecutor of the same district Prosecutor’s Office, Marika Tkabladze.
The speakers reviewed law of Georgia on organized crime and racketeering. The history of the creation and further development of the world of thieves, the available statistical data and the public attitude towards the issue were discussed.
Within the framework of the lecture, the speakers introduced the discussion issues for the audience, and also answered the students’ questions.
The public meeting was opened by George Khatidze, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Caucasus International University. The audience was also welcomed by the Deputy Prosecutor of Gldani-Nadzaladevi, Davit Khvedelidze.
Students and administration of the Faculty of Law attended the lecture.
