Masterclass on the Importance of Self-Presentation and a Memorandum with Match UP Consulting
On December 5, a masterclass titled “The Brand Within You: The Importance of Self-Presentation During Interviews” was held for students of Caucasus International University. The session was led by Nata Kotaria, founder and director of Match UP Consulting, HR and career consultant.
“The purpose of today’s meeting was to highlight to students the significance of self-presentation during interviews and to help them understand how to present themselves as a brand. During an interview, maintaining balance is crucial—both in confidence and in self-presentation. It is important to understand the ‘pain points’ or discomforts that prompt an employer to open a vacancy. Our goal is to be able to leave an emotional impression, meaning we become the individuals capable of addressing the employer’s concerns”.
“During the masterclass, we conducted a simulated job interview with student participation. The purpose of this activity was to provide information about interview techniques and to help students understand what employers want to hear to be convinced that the position is commensurate with us as candidates,” noted Nata Kotaria.
Within the framework of the event, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Caucasus International University and Match UP Consulting. The document was signed by Tamar Inasaridze, CIU Vice-Rector and Nata Kotaria, Match UP Consulting Executive Director.
The meeting was attended by students from all five faculties of CIU, who had the opportunity to receive comprehensive answers to the questions that interested them.
The masterclass was organized by CIU Life-Long Learning and Career Development Service together with the Faculty of Business and Technology.
