A creative evening dedicated to the Day of the National Costume of Georgia was held at Caucasus International University.

The event was jointly organized by the University Marketing and Foreign Student Integration Service of the International Relations Department and the Student Mentor Office.

Georgian and international students participated in the evening, which aimed to promote Georgian national costume, traditional music and dance. It is noteworthy that international students demonstrated great interest in and respect for the cultural heritage of the host country.

Within the framework of the program, Georgian students performed three traditional dances: “Davluri” (from the opera “Daisi”); “Lazuri”; “Mtiuluri”. An Indian student also joined the performance, along with Georgian students.

Musical accompaniment was provided by Caucasus International University ensemble “Caucasian”, supervised by Bezhan Tsintsalashvili, who presented the Georgian traditional repertoire to the audience.

Along with Georgian culture, the traditions of different countries were also represented at the event. In particular, Lebanese, Sudanese and Indian students performed their national dances and introduced the cultural identity of their countries to the audience.

The evening was moderated by Tatia Kokobinadze, Specialist at Youth, Sports and Culture Service, Head of Student-Mentor Service and Negisadat Mozafarnezadi, Vice-Mentor.
