    - What is the application deadline?

    For fall semester – August 30th, for spring semester – February 15th.

     - What are the required documents for application?

    For Individuals with Secondary Education:

    1. A copy of a document verifying citizenship (Passport);
    2. A copy of document verifying the completion of general secondary education acquired abroad or its equivalent degree;
    3. A filled-in application form;
    4. Two photos 3x4 cm in size; Electronic version of the photo on CD disk.

    Note: If the applicant is a minor (under 18 years of age), the following additional documents must be sent: a copy of the birth certificate, copies of both parents’ passports and a letter of attorney (consent on enrollment) of a parent who is in an applicant’s birth certificate. The letter of attorney is a document that must clearly indicate the parent’s consent for their child to live and study abroad for the specified period.

    For Individuals who Want to Transfer from other Higher Educational Institution:

    1. A copy of a document verifying citizenship (Passport);
    2. A copy of document verifying credits gained at foreign educational institution;
    3. A document showing a student’s residence in a specific country (the duration and dates of the residence must coincide with the duration and dates of studying);
    4. A filled in application form.

    For Individuals who are Interested in MA Programs:

    1. A copy of a document verifying citizenship (passport);
    2. A BA degree document (diploma, its supplement or a BA qualification certificate and a transcript of records);
    3. A filled in application form;
    4. 2 photos 3x4 cm in size.

    Documents must be translated into Georgian, certified by notary.

     - What is the language of instruction?

    The language of instruction on the programs offered for international students is English.

     - What is the duration of the programs?

    1. Undergraduate program duration is 4 years;
    2. Graduate program duration – 2 years;
    3. One step program duration - 5 years (Dental); 6 years (Medical).

     - What is the fees structure for academic programs?

      Faculty of Medicine:

    • Educational Program in Medicine (language of instruction English) – 6000 USD;
    • Educational Program in Dentistry (language of instruction English) – 5000 USD;

    Faculty of Business and Technology:

     

    • Undergraduate Educational Program in Information Technologies (language of instruction English) – 3500 USD;

     

    Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities:

    • Master’s Program in Global Policy and Security Studies (language of instruction English) – 3000 USD;

     - How long does the admission procedure take?

    The university admission procedure involves the following steps:

    An online video interview is scheduled with an interested applicant in order to assess and confirm his/her English language proficiency.

    Upon passing the interview successfully, the applicant must submit all required documents, translated into Georgian and notarized.

    The university prepares a relevant document to be submitted to the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement in order to recognize the applicant’s education received abroad and grant the right to study at Caucasus International University. For recognition of education received abroad - regular procedures (one month) 40 GEL; accelerated procedures - 15 business days - 80 GEL; 5 business days - 120 GEL; 1 business day - 250 GEL

    Once the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement issues the recognition document for the education received abroad, an enrollment order is issued within 5 business days. This order officially grants the applicant the right to become a student at Caucasus International University.

     - What are foreign language requirements for University admission?

    The applicant must provide a document confirming their English language proficiency at the required level. If the applicant is unable to provide the certificate, the university will conduct an interview and an English language test to assess their proficiency.

     - How much is the application fee?

    Application fees is defined by 250 USD.

    The fees include:

    1. Translation of a documents into Georgian language;
    2. Notarization of documents;
    3. Fees for submitting document at National Centre for Education Quality Enhancement.

     Note: An application fees (250 USD) cannot be refunded in case an applicant withdraws his/her application or the Ministry rejects enrolment.

     - What are the average living expenses in Georgia,  monthly food cost, monthly residence cost and also any other fees?

    A one-bedroom apartment in the center of Tbilisi is likely to cost around 300 USD a month. While on the periphery, a similar, small property - around 200 USD per month.

    Around 200-300 USD per month is required to meet expenditures on food, transportation, cell phone and other personal needs.

     - How can I check my application status?

    An applicant wishing to check his/her application status must send a request electronically at the following email: international@ciu.edu.ge. Mailbox is checked regularly during the business days from 10 am to 6 pm (GEO time).

     - Where is it possible to obtain residence permit and what are the required documents?

    A residence card may be obtained at a corresponding branch of the Public Service Development Agency or Public Service Hall.

    Required documents are:

    • Application form;
    • Photocopy of a student’s travel document;
    • Photocopy of the document evidencing the student’s legal stay in Georgia;
    • Certificate issued by the educational institution authorized in Georgia confirming the student is studying at the institution;
    • Document evidencing legal income earned in Georgia by a student and/or by a citizen of Georgia or by his/her relative having the right of residence in Georgia and a document confirming kinship with that person. The money in an alien’s personal bank account may also be considered income; Taking into account the duration of a residence permit for study purposes, the monthly amount of money should not be less than double the amount of minimum subsistence level of an average customer in Georgia;
    • 3x4 cm photo;
    • Service fee payment receipt.

    Why is a video interview with the applicant necessary?

    Since the language of instruction on programs offered in a foreign language is English, the university requires a video interview to verify the applicant’s proficiency in the language and their ability to succeed in their studies.

    The interview is conducted via the ZOOM platform by a university representative. The duration of the interview is 5 to 10 minutes and covers general questions. The interview is recorded and is applied for the procedures determined in accordance with the Legislation.

    1. Visa Procedure

    The university will provide an applicant with an official invitation letter once the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement issues its order.

    2. When should you pay tuition fees?

    A student must pay tuition fees of the whole academic year in order to be enrolled at the univerity.

    3. Academic calendar

    Autumn term starts on the last Monday of September;

    Spring term starts on the third Monday of March.
