Training – Optimizing Self-Esteem and Self-Confidence
The National Science Library of Georgia conducted a training for librarians of member organizations of Georgian Integrated Library Information System Consortium on the topic: “Optimizing Self-Esteem and Self-Confidence” on December 20, 21 and 22.
The training was led by trainers: Labidze (a psychologist and coach) and Ani Maisuradze (a psychologist). The training covered the following issues:
- Forming communication and listening skills;
- Ability to express one’s opinion and make a compromise decision;
- Strengthening the ability to understand and accept other people;
- Setting goals, forming an achievement strategy and optimizing self-esteem;
- Developing emotional intelligence, getting to know emotions and feelings;
- Ability to express them constructively;
- The importance of self-esteem;
- Types of self-evaluation (conflict and non-conflict);
- Developing of self-control ability, optimizing self-esteem;
- In stressful situations;
- Forming and developing self-confidence;
- Increasing confidence in one’s personality, abilities and potential.
The mentioned training was attended by Tamar Kavtaradze, head Caucasus International University Library and Salome Tsekvava, a librarian. At the end of the training, they were awarded the relevant certificates.
