Within the framework of partnership between Caucasus International University and the international consulting company Grant Thornton Georgia there was held a scientific discussion on the topic: “Law and Business: Challenges and Opportunities” on December 17.
The discussion was opened by George Khatidze, Dean of CIU Faculty of Law and the event was moderated by Zviad Gabisonia, Advisor to Chancellor on Science and innovations.
Within the framework of the discussion, the speakers focused on new and current directions in the field of law, mainly in the field of business law. They examined such important topics as:
“Electronic Contract and Electronic Signature in the Digital World”; Speaker: Nino Jolia, Head of Legal Advisory of Grant Thornton Georgia;
“Law on Entrepreneurs - Amendments and Challenges”; Speaker: Guram Chaduneli, Senior Lawyer of Grant Thornton Georgia;
“Insider Dealing and Market Manipulation Regulations under Georgian Law”; Speaker: Mikheil Kupatadze, Senior Lawyer of Grant Thornton Georgia;
“Discourse Between Artificial Intelligence and Data Protection Law”; Speaker: Nino Kvelaidze, Legal Advisor of Grant Thornton Georgia;
“Public-Private Partnership: Legal Dimensions and Prospects of Development in Georgia”; Speaker: George Khatidze, Dean of CIU Faculty of Law;
“The Problems of Legal Regulation of E-commerce”; Speaker: Zviad Gabisonia, CIU Advisor to Chancellor on Science and Innovations;
“Challenges of the New Law of Insolvency”; Speaker: Roin Migriauli, CIU Associate Professor, Head, Partner and Lawyer of Law Office “Migriauli and Partners”;
“US-China Trade War in the Context of the WTO Law”; Speaker: Lara Nachkebia, Ph.D student of Law Program at CIU.
Caucasus International University signed a memorandum of understanding with the international consulting company “Grant Thornton”, which is one of the leaders in the world rankings, on December 9. Collaboration includes joint scientific activities, lectures-seminars, promotion of student employment and other important areas.
