On October 8 and 10, Caucasus International University hosted events marking the launch of new vocational training and retraining programs.

On October 8, the programs “Zero-Emission Agricultural Management” and “Viticulture Specialist” were introduced to participants at the Faculty of Viticulture and Enology. On October 10, the first cohort of the program “Preparation of Primary Accounting Documentation” was presented. Due to high demand, two groups were formed for the accounting program.

A total of 33 participants have enrolled across the three programs: 10 in the agricultural course and 23 in the accounting. Instruction will take place throughout October and November.

The educational process will be conducted at the university Viticulture and Enology campus, the Okami production facility (in the village of Aghaiani), and at EEC Georgia site (in Bazaleti).

All three programs are funded by the State Employment Support Agency. The “Zero-Emission Agricultural Management” program was developed within the framework of the project “Developing Sustainable and Green Business Practices in Georgia”- supported by an international partnership between the European Union and Austria - by World Vision Austria, World Vision Georgia, the Georgian Farmers’ Association, and EEC Georgia.

The event was attended by students of the university vocational programs, program implementers, and representatives from partner companies and enterprises. Giorgi Liluashvili serves as the head of the “Preparation of Primary Accounting Documentation” program, while Maia Mirvelashvili, Lasha Bodaveli, and Levan Elerdashvili lead the programs focused on viticulture and winemaking.

For reference, the Vocational Education Center at Caucasus International University was established in January 2023 and is headed by Tea Osephashvili. Between 2024 and 2026, the Center has implemented seven training courses, and currently, eight programs are underway.
