On June 4, the Faculty of Viticulture and Enology of Caucasus International University hosted the representatives of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). They conducted a training for students and interested parties.

The meeting was opened by Lasha Bodaveli, the Faculty Coordinator and General Manager of the Ethno Okami Winery, after which Olani Gotsiridze, the Dean of the Faculty, addressed the audience.

During the training, emphasis was placed on two most important areas, which are considered global challenges today. The first part was devoted to the safe and effective use of pesticides, which is directly related to the production of healthy products. The second part of the meeting was entirely dedicated to climate-smart agriculture, where they discussed modern approaches that contribute to environmental protection and adaptation to climate change.

The meeting was attended by academic and administrative staff of the faculty along with students.
