Intellectual Duel Held at CIU

Intellectual Duel was organized by Caucasus International University Intellect Club on November 17, 2018. It represents the innovation of the above mentioned club. According to the rules, the game consists of two rounds: in the first round – two teams made up of four people oppose each other. The team which is the first to give the correct answer receives one point. In case of a wrong answer, the team either loses a point or can give the point to the opposing team.

The second round consists of a blitz, where one player from each team plays. Five questions are asked. The winner is the team that manages to accumulate the most number of points as the result of both rounds.

Eight teams participated in the intellectual duel which was held on November 17, 2018. The teams were made up of students from CIU as well as other higher education institutions.

Quarter-final, semi-final and final meetings were held during the tournament. Akebano defeated Jeronimo with the score 6-3 at the final and became the winner of the tournament (Members of the winner team: Beka Khojava, Shanshe Kekedze, Shalvachi Kviladze and Bachi Kakabadze).

The winners were awarded cash prize from the intellect club.
