Its participation provides an important opportunity to enhance the university research potential, support the professional development of academic staff and early-career researchers, and offer students an educational environment enriched by international experience and collaboration.
At the ERIC-GE project consortium meeting, Caucasus International University was represented by Rector Kakhaber Kordzaia, who delivered a speech during the opening ceremony. The event was also attended by Svetlana Kirakosiani, Head of the International Relations Department; project coordinators Nino Chirgadze and Mariana Jalalbekova, Sesili Gogiberidze, Head of the Scientific Research Department and Shorena Kurdadze, Deputy Head of the Scientific Research Department. Within the framework of the two-day working meeting, consortium members discussed the project objectives, future activities and presented draft versions of the Scientometrics training course.
The project aims to strengthen the research and innovation capacities of higher education institutions in Georgia, introduce modern methodologies, and familiarize participants with artificial intelligence tools in science management, as well as integrate them into teaching and research processes.
ERIC-GE is a two-year project funded in 2025 by the European Commission within the framework of the ERASMUS+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) program.
