    First National-Level Working Meeting of the ERIC-GE Project

    On December 23, 2025 the first national-level working meeting of the ERIC-GE project, a winner of the ERASMUS+ CBHE (Capacity Building in Higher Education) competition, was held.

    The activities envisaged by the project will enable the five Georgian universities involved in the consortium to improve their research evaluation mechanisms and align them with European Union standards. One of the main objectives of the project is the introduction of a Scientometrics course, which aims to strengthen the research capacities of master’s and doctoral students, as well as to enhance the competencies of academic staff and further develop teaching practices.

    The meeting was chaired by the Techinform Institute, and in addition to Caucasus International University, other Georgian higher education institutions that are members of the consortium also participated. Within the framework of the meeting, consortium member Higher Educational Institutions delivered introductory presentations and shared their expectations regarding the project. The universities also discussed upcoming activities planned in the near future and the principles of cooperation and implementation within the project framework.

    At the first national meeting of the ERIC-GE project, Caucasus International University was represented by Kakhaber Kordzaia, Rector, Svetlana Kirakosian, Head of the Department of International Relations and Shorena Kurdadze, Deputy Head of the Department of Scientific Research. 

    We would like to remind you that Caucasus International University is a winner of the 2025 ERASMUS+ CBHE call of the European Union and, with beneficiary status, will participate over the next two years in the project “Enhancing Research and Innovation Capacities in Georgian Higher Education Institutions” (ERIC-GE).

    This project represents an important step toward the systematic development of research and innovation in Georgian higher education landscape. Caucasus International University actively participates in Erasmus+ projects, which contribute to strengthening inter-university cooperation, sharing European best practices and enhancing research potential.
