    CIU Professors Elected as Members of the Polish Political Science Association

    Vakhtang Maisaia and Alika Guchua, Professors of Caucasus International University, have been elected as members of the Polish Political Science Association under the auspices of Jagiellonian University in Krakow. 

    Vakhtang Maisaia holds a PhD in Political Science and is a professor at CIU. He is the head of the Master’s Educational Programs in International Relations and International Security, as well as Global Politics and Security Studies (both offered in English). He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the military-political academic journal “Ante Portas – Security Studies”, published in Poland.

    Alika Guchua holds a PhD in Political Science and is an Associate Professor at CIU. He serves as Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and Head of the Bachelor’s Educational Program in International Relations. Additionally, he leads CIU Institute for Strategic Studies of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Threats and is the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal “Ante Portas – Security Studies”.

    The Polish Political Science Association (PPSA) was established to unite all Polish scholarly societies involved in political science and the dissemination of knowledge about politics. PPSA supports the integration of Polish political science into the global political science community.

    Since January 2012, the Polish Political Science Association has been a member of the European Political Science Association (EPSA). This association covers the European continent and brings together national political science associations. Its mission is to support the harmonization of political science research and academic curricula at the scholarly level.
