“Internationalization of Medical Education, Innovations, and Academic Success” – this was the central theme of the ECCES 2026 International Conference on Medical Education, held in Tbilisi on October 12–13.

The conference was organized through a partnership between Tbilisi State Medical University, the Ken Walker International University, and Emory University (USA).

Representatives from Caucasus International University—including the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, the Deputy Dean, academic staff, and students—actively participated in this large-scale international event.

The event was attended by the presidents of leading international organizations in the field of medical education—the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME), the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE), and the Association of Medical Schools in Europe (AMSE)—as well as representatives from Emory University and other international academic institutions, Georgian experts, and professionals in the field of medical education.

The program featured panel discussions, thematic training sessions, and masterclasses, during which participants—including representatives from Caucasus International University—discussed modern trends in medical education and opportunities for sharing international experience.

A significant component of ECCES 2026 was the poster presentations of scientific research, where a CIU representative and students presented their work to the international academic community and leading experts in medical education.
