CIU Associate Professor Giorgi Pareshishvili Participates in International Conference in Kazakhstan
Advisor to the Rector of Caucasus International University, Doctor of Political Science and Associate Professor Giorgi Pareshishvili visited the Republic of Kazakhstan. He participated in the Sixth International Scientific Conference - “China and the United States in Central Asia, the Middle East and South Asia” held in Almaty.
At the large-scale event organized by the University of Turan, Giorgi Pareshishvili presented a paper on the topic: “Religion, Soft Power and Legitimacy Narratives: Georgia between Western and Eastern Spheres of Influence”. It is noteworthy that the work presented at the conference will be published in a journal indexed in the international scientific database SCOPUS.
Within the framework of the visit, important working meetings were held. Giorgi Pareshishvili met with the Director of the Center for Regional Studies at the University of Turan, Professor Ablet K. Kamalov, and the Chairperson of the Conference Organizing Committee, Professor Tugrul Keskin of Cappadocia University. During the meetings, the parties discussed the prospects for future academic relations and collaboration plans between the universities.

Tamar Kavtaradze, Head of Caucasus International University Library, has won the 2026 Academic/Research Grant announced by the International Association of University Libraries (IATUL) for her project “Optimizing the Use of Scientific Databases through Artificial Intelligence-Driven Systematic Review Tools: An Innovative Approach for Academic Libraries.”
