Ambassador Mikheil Ukleba’s Public Lecture at CIU
On October 18, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of Caucasus International University organized a public lecture on the topic: “Recent History of Georgian Diplomacy”.
The lecture was led by Ambassador Mikheil Ukleba, representative of the Levan Mikeladze Diplomatic Training and Research Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, and a researcher.
The speaker reviewed the first steps of the diplomacy of independent Georgia after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the main aspects of the political situation surrounding the country at that time. At the end of the lecture he answered the audience’s questions.
Before the start of the lecture, Ekaterine Chalaganidze, Acting Dean of CIU Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, and Alika Guchua, Deputy Dean, Head of the Undergraduate Program in International Relations, welcomed the guest and the audience and placed emphasis on the ambassador’s many years of professional experience and the relevance of the topic for students interested in international politics.
Mikheil Ukleba’s public lecture was attended by students of the Undergraduate Program in International Relations.
