Caucasus International University has been awarded the status of winner in the 2025 ERASMUS+ CBHE competition of the European Union as a member of the consortium project “Enhancing Research and Innovation Capacities in Georgian Higher Education Institutions” (ERIC-GE).
The project aims to strengthen the research and innovation potential of Georgian higher education institutions, improve institutional capacity for research quality, and align institutional practices with European and international standards. The project will develop innovative learning modules, new academic courses, and modern approaches to research management, which will contribute to establishing closer ties between research and education. The project brings together six Georgian and two European universities, coordinated by the Institute of Georgian Technical University “Techinform”. The total funding for the project over the next two years is €355,977.
Within the framework of ERIC-GE, CIU International Relations Department will coordinate the university engagement, effective participation in project activities, international cooperation and dissemination of information.
CIU continues to actively participate in Erasmus+ competitions and is actively working to expand its involvement in future initiatives. By strengthening its participation in international projects, the university seeks to expand opportunities for students, academic staff and researchers, while contributing to the global development of higher education.
By participating in this initiative, CIU once again places emphasis on its internationalization development strategy, which contributes to academic and research development and strengthening global competitiveness.
