From 2015, university students, academic and administrative personnel have been participating in Erasmus + mobility programs within the framework of which CIU hosts and sends students, academic and administrative personnel in the following Universities: Pan European University (Slovakia); University of Alcala (Spain); Siauliai State College (Latvia); Klaipeda University of Applied Sciences (Lithuania), Opole University (Poland), University of Minho (Portugal).
University of Opole (Opole, Poland)
29.05 - University of Opole Representatives (Poland) Met CIU Rector
Kakhaber Kordzaia, CIU Rector and Svetlana Kirakosyan, a representative of the Department of International Relations met Elizabeta Szumanska-Czaplaska, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Philology in Academic and Student Issues and Ewa Pieczurska-Kucieli, a foreign language specialist on May 29.
Both sides discussed in details current relational issues within the framework of Erasmus+ and planned future collaboration. As stated by Polish side, the University of Opole has nine faculties and 10,000 students.
At the meeting, the University of Opole representatives placed emphasis on institutional collaboration, the faculties of Social Sciences and Business and English language educational programs where CIU professors and students will benefit from exchange programs and mobility.
Towards the end of the meeting, the guests visited material-technical base of CIU.
Klaipeda State University (Klaipeda, Lithuania)
28.03.18 - Representatives of Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences in Lithuania at CIU
Representatives of Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences in Lithuania – Monika Pociene, Head of Physiotherapy and Beauty Therapy Department and Ina Berenyte, specialist of the Department of International Relations paid a visit to Caucasus International University.
Both universities are deepening partnership within the framework of Erasmus+ which envisages the engagement of students and academic personnel.
Kakhaber Kordzaia, Rector, Giorgi Pkhakadze, Supervisor of Graduate Program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Georgian and English Programs), Tea Adamia, Professor of the same educational program, in addition, Tamar Chakhnashvili, Head of International Relations Service and its representatives met the guests.
Both sides discussed the current programs and planned future collaboration.
Monika Pociene, Head of Physiotherapy and Beauty Therapy Department conducted a two-day seminar focusing on the innovations and challenges in the field for seniors of CIU BA Programs in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (language of instruction English) and Medicine within the frame of the visit on March 27-28, 2018.
Tea Adamia, Assistant Professor at CIU Faculty of Medicine Visits Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences
Tea Adamia, Assistant Professor of the Program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at CIU Faculty of Medicine visited Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences within the framework of Erasmus+ program on April 22-27, 2018.
CIU representative was given opportunity to attend the conference “Biomedical and Social Sciences: Education, Research and Innovation” held within the frame of international weekly and she was able to represent Caucasus International University.
Within the framework of the exchange program meetings were held with the university lecturers, in addition, the tour was conducted at the laboratories of the faculty of Physical Medicine and Beauty. The possibilities of further cooperation between universities were discussed within the framework of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Program.
University of Alcala (Madrid, Spain)
CIU stand was named as the best at the exhibition held at University of Alcala.
Levan Kurdadze, a student of MA educational program in International Business Management, and Simon Tsikarishvili, a student of BA educational program in Finances, Faculty of Business at Caucasus International University study at the University of Alcala(Spain) for the autumn semester of 2017-2018 academic year within the framework of ERASMUS+.
University of Alcala hosted an exhibition on 23 November. CIU students were among the students from the universities of 12 countries participating in the above mentioned exhibition. Levan Kurdadze and Simon Tsikarishvili introduced Georgia and their native university – CIU to the students of various universities and academic personnel.
The guests were given opportunity to vote for their desired candidate during the exhibition in order to name the best stand.
CIU stand has accumulated the most number of votes upon the completion of the exhibition and has won the first place. Peppa Rodriguez, head of the Department of International Relations at the University of Alcala congratulated the winner students and gave them encouraging presents.

CIU Students at the University of Alcala with Erasmus+ Exchange Program
Within the framework of Erasmus + program, 8 CIU students of the Faculty of Business studying at various programs of all three stages were able to spend 2017-2018 Spring Semester at the University of Alcalá (Spain).
Within the exchange program students were allowed to take part in different courses and study projects together with other international university students.
We would like to remind you that it is the second student exchange program at the University of Alcalá within the frame of Eramsus+.
University of Alcala Students at CIU with Erasmu+ Exchange Program
Two students from the university of Alcala: Rodrigo Viejo (Ph.D Program in Business Administration.) and Miguel Beisteros (BA Program in Business Administration) visited CIU for 2017-2018 academic year.
Within the framework of the exchange program students were involved in various intercultural exchange activities planned by CIU. Doctoral student, Rodrigo Viejo, conducted a free 4-month Spanish language and culture course for CIU students.
10.04.18 – Miguel Campas, Professor at University of Alcala Delivers Lecture at CIU
Miguel Campas, Professor at the University of Alcala (Spain, Madrid) delivered a public lecture for Caucasus International University academic personnel and students of the faculty of Business. The topic of the lecture was current situation of tourism in Spain and perspectives for its development.
Professor Miguel Cambas discussed the factors having impact on the development of tourism in Spain and drew parallels with Georgia in order to show the similarities and differences that exist between the two countries in this direction. The meeting was interactive, the speaker introduced statistical and empirical data to the attending audience which provoked great interest.
We would like to remind you that CIU and the University of Alcala have been collaborating for several years and both parties are planning to implement joint projects in future as well.
By the decision of Caucasus International University, Professor Miguel Cambas will be awarded the title of an honorary doctor for special contribution and merit in the development of the University on 12 March.
11.04.18 – Professor Santiago Ramon’s Public Lecture
Caucasus International University hosts the University of Alcala, Spain delegation. Professor Santiago Ramon met CIU academic personnel and students of the faculty of Business within the framework of the working visit.
Spanish Professor, along with theoretical education, has several decades of practical experience working on major positions in international companies. Entrepreneurship, researches and development, progress, strategic instruments – these is the incomplete list of issues, which were discussed by the speaker.
Santiago Ramon placed emphasis on the business models which are most frequently and successfully used by companies and distinguished Canvas model among them.
The concluding part of the meeting was held in the form of question-responses. CIU professors and students asked additional questions on entrepreneurship, finances and time management to Spanish professor.
CIU Administrative and Academic Personnel Visit University of Alcala with Erasmus + Exchange Program
Nino Zarnadze and Kakhaber Jakeli, Professors of CIU faculty of Business and Vakhtang Tsivtsivadze, Vice-Rector in International Affairs paid a working visit to the University of Alcala (Spain) within the framework of Erasmus+ program.
CIU representatives held meetings with administrative and academic personnel of the university and visited material-technical base of the University of Alcala within the frame of the program.
Vice-Rector Vakhtang Tsivtsivadze participated in the meeting of Erasmus + Institutional Coordinators of Spanish Universities, where he made presentation about Caucasus International University.
Negotiations have been made in developing dual degree programs for further development of relations between the two universities.

Siauliai State College (Siauliai, Lithuania)
CIU Academic Personnel Visited Siauliai State College with Erasmus+ Exchange Program
Manana Maridashvili, Professor of CIU Faculty of Business Management paid a working visit to Siauliai State College (Lithuania) within the framework of Erasmus + program.
Within the framework of the program, CIU representative conducted a course of lectures on the topic “Management of Decision Making” on April 10-14, 2017. In addition, she made a presentation about CIU at the 3rd International Education Week of State College. Ms. Maridashvili participated in international scientific conference with the topic: Diversity of Business Relations in Georgia.

CIU Students Visit Pan-European University (Slovakia) with Erasmus+ Program
Three MA and PhD students of different programs of CIU Faculty of Business and Law were given opportunity to spend one semester at Pan-European University (Slovakia) within the frame of Erasmus+ Program.
Students could take part in different courses, study and research projects with other international university students within the exchange program.
Caucasus International University actively collaborates with Pan-European University within the framework of Erasmus+ program.
