To obtain student status and engage in the educational process, an entrant must complete the following stages:

Stage One

Payment and Required Documents for Registration:

• A copy of ID card or passport;
• Two 3x4 photos (both printed and electronic version on a disk);
• Original (or notarized copy) of the document confirming complete general education;
• Receipt confirming full payment of tuition fees for the first semester;
• A copy of the military service certificate (for male applicants only)

Payment of Tuition Fees

Payments can be made through the following banks:

• TBC Bank - Payments can be made at the bank with the help of an operator, at a TBC Bank payment terminal, or through TBC Bank Internet banking.
• Bank of Georgia: Payments can be made at a Bank of Georgia payment terminal.
• Basis Bank: Payments can be made at the bank with the help of an operator.

Note: When making a payment, please select the Utility Payment method. Then, choose the category “Education”, “University” and enter your personal number. Payments made through this method will be instantly recorded in your GONI account.

Payment Installments

It is possible to pay the annual tuition fees in two phases upon request. An individualized tuition payment schedule can be determined based on the application. (The reason for payment installment may be one of the reasons listed below or another one, which must be confirmed by an official document and considered as relevant by the university administration).

Required Documents:

• A copy of ID card or passport;

• A copy of the military service certificate (for male applicants only);
• A notarized copy of BA Diploma and its supplement;
• International English language certificate (B2 level) (for programs where English proficiency is a prerequisite for admission). If an applicant does not possess such a certificate, s/he must take an English proficiency test to confirm the knowledge of language on B2 level. The test is prepared by the Language Center of Caucasus International University.

Information regarding the exam format and evaluation criteria for those willing to enroll in master’s educational programs will be posted on the university website by August 20.

Study and Research

• Individuals holding a Master’s degree or an equivalent academic qualification are eligible to pursue doctoral studies.
• Graduates from foreign universities may also be granted the right to enroll in a doctoral program, in accordance with the provisions of Article 50 of the Law of Georgia on Higher Education.

Required Documents:

1. Applicant’s autobiography (information on education and work experience), CV;
2. Notarized copies of Master’s Degree or an equivalent academic degree and its supplement (the university is entitled to require from the applicant or an already enrolled doctoral student to submit a document on the recognition of the diploma in accordance with the legislation. Failure to submit a recognition document within a reasonable time can serve as a ground for refusal of enrollment or invalidation of the enrollment of a doctoral student);
3. A copy of ID card or passport;
4. Two 3x4 photos (both printed and electronic version on a disk);
5. A copy of the military service certificate (for male applicants only);
6. International certificate of English language proficiency (B2 level) (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS, FCE, CAE). An applicant who has completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s Educational Program in English are exempt from submitting a certificate. If the applicant cannot provide proof of English language proficiency, s/he will be required to take an English exam at the University Language Center;
7. A statement confirming that the applicant is not currently enrolled in a doctoral program at another higher education institution;
8. A motivation letter in relation to the research topic;
9. Two letters of recommendation from academic professionals in the relevant field. If the applicant has work experience related to the program, one letter should be from an academic staff, and the second from the employer or relevant organization.
10. Documentation of previous papers/publications in the relevant field, participation in scientific research projects and events, and/or at least 2 years of professional experience in the relevant field.

Research Topic Project should include the following elements:

• The doctoral candidate’s perspective on the relevance and significance of the proposed topic;
• The scientific and practical value of the proposed topic;
• The methods that will be utilized during research and analysis;
• A well-supported preliminary views/expectation.

(Note: After enrollment in the doctoral program, the topic of the submitted project may be revised or modified, either partially or fully, based on the doctoral student’s interests.)

Enrollment Procedure

Enrollment in CIU residency programs follows the guidelines set by Georgian legislation. It is based on passing the Unified Postgraduate Qualification Exam and successfully completing an interview with the University Admissions Committee.

Enrollment Prerequisites

To be considered for a residency educational program, applicants must possess a specialty seeker’s certificate and/or a corresponding certificate obtained through successful completion of the Unified Postgraduate Qualification Exam. The results of this exam are valid for 3 years.
Admission to the residency program is conducted on a competitive basis, within the framework of a previously announced admission quota.

Required Documents:

1. A copy of ID card or passport;
2. A copy of the diploma confirming the academic degree obtained through a one-cycle program or equivalent;
3. Two 3x4 photos (both printed and electronic version on a disk);
4. A copy of the military service certificate (for male applicants only);
5. A certificate of a specialty seeker, granted as a result of passing the Unified Postgraduate Qualification Examination;
6. A list of modules completed in other residency programs, along with a certificate of completion (if applicable);
7. Documents confirming participation in conferences (if applicable);
8. Documents certifying the applicant’s involvement in medical activities (if applicable).
