Salome Tsuleiskiri’s Successful Medical Internship in Germany

Salome Tsuleiskiri, a student at CIU Faculty of Medicine, Medical Educational Program;
Medicine is a field where theoretical knowledge and practical experience are indispensable parts. Guided by this principle, Salome Tsuleiskiri, a student at the Faculty of Medicine at Caucasus International University, spent 2025–2026 academic year particularly intensively in terms of professional growth. She had the opportunity to complete clinical internships at leading medical institutions in Germany and gain firsthand insight into the specifics of the European healthcare system.
Salome’s journey in German clinics began in 2025. Her initial steps were dedicated to learning the daily processes of clinical work. She was actively involved in patient admissions, primary diagnostics and the development of treatment strategies. She found the coordinated work of multidisciplinary medical teams especially interesting, where the involvement of each member plays a decisive role in the patient’s recovery process. Clinical discussions and daily medical visits provided an environment in which Salome advanced her practical thinking and decision-making skills.
In 2026, Salome returned to Germany, this time focusing on the surgical field. Working in the operating environment gave her the opportunity to observe complex surgical procedures and the use of modern medical technologies in real time. From preoperative assessment to postoperative management, Salome experienced the full cycle that a high-standard European clinic offers to patients.
As she notes herself, this experience was not just about deepening her professional knowledge. It was a chance to see the importance of a patient-centered approach and the European clinical culture. The knowledge gained in an international environment provided her with additional motivation to continue her studies with even more dedication and to make her mark in the field of medicine.
Salome Tsuleiskiri placed emphasis on the role of the university in her success. Caucasus International University not only provides students with quality education but also actively supports their international activities. The flexibility of the academic process and the support she received allowed her to successfully combine foreign internships with her academic studies.
