Presentation of Georgian Wine Guide 2024-2025 was Held in 8000 Vintages
The presentation of “Georgian Wine Guide 2024-2025” was held in 8000 Vintages on February 27.
It should be highlighted that the guide features the wines of Caucasus International University winery “Ethno Okami”.
The book was first released in 2011, followed by annual, updated versions. In 2012, “Georgian Wine Guide” was published in Chinese, and in 2020 in German language. Last year’s guide was published in English. The author of the book is Malkhaz Kharbedia, one of the founders of the “Wine Club”, wine writer.
The 2024-2025 wine guide collection includes 5 separate segments - three books: “Georgian Wine Guide”, “Georgian Wine Tourism” and “Characterization of Georgian Wines”, wines of Caucasus International University “Ethno Okami” can be found in all three books.
Please note that “Ethno Okami” winery produces the following types of products: “Chinese-Goruli Green”, “Rkatsiteli”; “Kashmi Saperavi”; “Tankveri”; “Shavkapito”; and “Okami” (white and red). Nowadays, the products can be purchased in chain wine shops and bars. Despite the short history of its existence, the company has already been able to win several local and international awards in various categories. It is also noteworthy that practically all of the company’s management and production team are students and alumni of the Faculty of Viticulture and Winemaking of Caucasus International University.
The representatives of the Faculty of Viticulture and Winemaking of Caucasus International University were among the participants at the presentation. At the meeting, the guests had the opportunity to taste the wines of different companies on the spot and gain comprehensive insight into their creation.

On December 6, fourth-year students of the Bachelor’s Educational Program in Tourism at the Faculty of Business and Technology successfully implemented a practical learning activity – an introductory tour of Tbilisi for international students of the faculty, within the framework of the course “Event Management and MICE Tourism” (lecturer: Assoc. Prof. Nana Akhalaia).
