On May 5, Levan Gigineishvili, Tbilisi State University Professor and Philologist delivered a public lecture on the topic: “Contemporary Crisis of Truth and the Post-Truth World” at Caucasus International University. The event was organized by CIU Faculty of Law.
At the meeting, the speaker discussed the essence, idea and concept of truth on the example of Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, Kant, Hegel, Nietzsche, Augustine and other philosophers.
He placed emphasis on the following issues:
- How truth is revealed in history, religion, institutions, and in general, everyday life;
- What is its understanding in the modern and ancient world;
- What is the difference between the understanding truth and post-truth?
The meeting was attended by George Khatidze, Dean of the Faculty of Law of Caucasus International University; Tinatin Erkvania, Head of the Undergraduate Program in Law; University academic, administrative staff and students.

Project “Warm City Tbilisi” by CIU Bachelor’s Educational Program in Tourism Students
On December 6, fourth-year students of the Bachelor’s Educational Program in Tourism at the Faculty of Business and Technology successfully implemented a practical learning activity – an introductory tour of Tbilisi for international students of the faculty, within the framework of the course “Event Management and MICE Tourism” (lecturer: Assoc. Prof. Nana Akhalaia).
