Exams in clinical disciplines (OSCE)
Caucasus International University third, fifth and eleventh semester students of the Faculty of Medicine had final exams in clinical disciplines (Basic Surgical Skills, Propedeutic of Internal Diseases, Gynecology) by using new assessment method, in the format of Objectively Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE).
139 students have taken the exam in two stages: in clinical stations and exam room. The exam was jointly organized by Ms. Ekaterine Kipiani, Head of Clinical Skills Center and subject professors – Ms. Tamar Vakhtangadze, Mr. Mamuka Nemsadze and Ms. Tamar Grdzelishvili on the base of the Center.
We would like to remind you that Objectively Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE) represents a new method to assess knowledge and skills. Nowadays, it is approved as one of the basic standards of medical education by the World Federation of Medical Education and the World Health Organization. This method is used to evaluate clinical skills acquired by a student and to evaluate clinical competences.

Project “Warm City Tbilisi” by CIU Bachelor’s Educational Program in Tourism Students
On December 6, fourth-year students of the Bachelor’s Educational Program in Tourism at the Faculty of Business and Technology successfully implemented a practical learning activity – an introductory tour of Tbilisi for international students of the faculty, within the framework of the course “Event Management and MICE Tourism” (lecturer: Assoc. Prof. Nana Akhalaia).
