    CIU Hosted a Lecturer from Wrocław Medical University

    Within the framework of the Erasmus+ academic mobility program, Caucasus International University hosted a teaching visit, during which the Faculty of Medicine welcomed Maria Wesołowska, a lecturer from Wrocław Medical University.

    As part of the program, working meetings were held with Magda Tortladze, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Svetlana Kirakosian, Head of the International Relations Department.

    The meetings aimed to strengthen academic collaboration, share experience and discuss prospects for future partnerships. In addition, Maria Wesołowska delivered lectures for students, attended by around 30 students from the Faculty of Medicine.
    The topics covered during the visit included: Free-Living Amoebae and their Impact on Public Health; Soil-Transmitted Helminths – Cosmopolitan and Endemic Invasion; Opportunistic Parasites in Immunosuppressed Patients; One Health Concept Focused on the Public Health Impact of Emerging Parasitic Infections.

    It is worth noting that such academic visits contribute significantly to the development of international academic collaboration, the professional growth of both students and academic staff, and the creation of new educational opportunities.
