Professional Field Workshop at David Gareja Monastery Complex
The Tourism Lab of the Faculty of Business and Technology at Caucasus International University organized a professional field seminar at the David Gareja Monastery Complex (Sagarejo municipality) on May 24.
The students noted the importance of Davit Gareji Lavra as the most important monument of national cultural heritage for Georgia and its tourism potential in their reports. In addition, they discussed the trends and challenges of protecting the country’s cultural heritage. As part of the professional tour, the students visited the Ninotsminda monastic complex (VI-XVIII centuries) and the fortress-city of Ujarma (III-XIII centuries) in Sagarejo and Ninotsminda eparchy.
The head of the tourism lab, Lali Mikeladze and the students discussed and planned the current issues and destinations of the field workshops of the next semester within the framework of the day.

Project “Warm City Tbilisi” by CIU Bachelor’s Educational Program in Tourism Students
On December 6, fourth-year students of the Bachelor’s Educational Program in Tourism at the Faculty of Business and Technology successfully implemented a practical learning activity – an introductory tour of Tbilisi for international students of the faculty, within the framework of the course “Event Management and MICE Tourism” (lecturer: Assoc. Prof. Nana Akhalaia).
