Studying Lies Using Neurofeedback Methodology Was Implemented within the Framework of CIU Fundamental Research Grants Project

The research “Studying Lies Using Neurofeedback Methodology” was conducted within the framework of Caucasus International University Fundamental Research Grants project.
Magda Kotrikadze, Doctor of Political Science, winner of the 2023 Fundamental Research Grants Competition, studied the effects of political lies and propaganda on the human brain and periphery. This research is groundbreaking, as no similar hardware-based study has been conducted within the field of political science until now.
It is significant that the findings from this research were incorporated into Magda Kotrikadze’s qualifying thesis, supervised by Vakhtang Maisaya, Doctor of Political Science, Professor of Caucasus International University.
The study placed emphasis on the brain response to lies, identifying active and passive language as well as content that influence how lies are perceived. In addition, it explored how lies are processed and transformed into perceived truths in our minds, enhancing receptivity to information, propaganda and deception. The research also examined how individuals perceive and evaluate lies, identifying areas where people tend to be more or less tolerant of dishonesty.
This type of hardware research is quite popular in the world and it is believed that the error of the results is reduced to a minimum. The findings of the study are interesting both for political science researchers and specialists in the field from different sectors.
