The last lecture day of the summer school organized by Caucasus International University – “Peace Policy and Restoring Confidence in the Occupied Regions” - opened with a lecture on the topic: “The Role of religion in Conflict Resolution/The State of Religions in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali Region”.
The lecture was led by Giorgi Pareshishvili, Advisor to the Rector of Caucasus International University.
The speaker reviewed the confessional composition of conflict regions and the influence of religions on social and political processes.
In the second half of the day, the participants of the school made group presentations related to various topical conflicts, and the mentioned practical activity was led by the president of CIU intellect club, specialist in international relations, Bakur Khubulava.
It should be noted that about 40 students from 13 state and private higher education institutions of Georgia were involved in the summer school of Caucasus International University, and they were offered lectures for one week.
