Mariam Abuladze and Ana Zaridze, students of CIU Faculty of Medicine, got acquainted with the innovations necessary for the progressive movement of dentistry at Wroclaw Medical University (Poland) within the framework of the ERASMUS + exchange program.
The students directly examined the patient with the help of a special program at the initial stage of the program, in the simulation center of Wroclaw Medical University.
Within the framework of the program, they got acquainted with the modern innovations in the field of dentistry from lecturers invited from different countries of the world, among them were the leading lecturer of the Scientific Department of the University of Cagliari, Italy, Andrea Pera (lecture - genetic changes and its connection with dentistry) and the lecturer from Sapienza University of Rome, Dr. Paulo Junior Fantozzi (lecture – “The Role of Oral Microflora in the Pathogenesis of Systemic Diseases”).
Modern innovations in dentistry were discussed by Teodora Karteva, a lecturer at the Medical University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. (Mini-course on the use of artificial intelligence in dentistry).
The head of the program, Irina Dush Ilnichka, expressed her support to the Georgian students and discussed the prospects of future collaboration.
