A memorandum of understanding was signed between Caucasus International University Faculty of Business and Technology and Smeda • Small and Medium Enterprises Development Association on April 11.
The memorandum was signed by Kakhaber Kordzaia, Caucasus International University Rector and Grigol Paikidze, the executive director of Small and Medium Enterprise Development Association.
Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties will actively cooperate using their available scientific knowledge, intellectual potential and material-technical base in the direction of academic and scientific research and will promote the attraction and involvement of young scientists and students.
After signing the memorandum, a public meeting was held with the representatives of SMEDA business association.
Professor Kakhaber Kordzaia, Rector of Caucasus International University and Associate Professor Marika Kldiashvili, the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Technology, gave a welcome speech at the event.
Within the framework of the meeting, Giga Paikidze - the executive director and founder of Smeda Small and Medium Enterprise Development Association, made a presentation of the business association SMEDA and Ana Latsabidze, the founder of Piece of BBN, participant of SMEDA acceleration project – “Starta” discussed “Challenges of Small and Medium Businesses in Georgia”.
In addition, a discussion on the topic: “Current Reality and Challenges Related to Access to Finance in Georgia” was held.
The meeting was attended by Caucasus International University Faculty of Business and Technology students, academic and administrative staff.
