A public lecture was held on the topic: “Kazakhstan-Georgia Economic Partnership Modality and Bilateral Geo-Economic Cooperation” at Caucasus International University on May 31. The event was organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences.
The lecture was led by Zhandos Askarov, a representative of the Academy of Public Administration, Institute of Diplomacy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Within the framework of the lecture, the speaker reviewed the history and modern politics of the Republic of Kazakhstan, political relations between Kazakhstan and Georgia and prospects for cooperation, as well as a comparative analysis of the economy of Kazakhstan and Georgia and the Trans-Caspian international transport route.
Zhandos Askarov emphasized the prospects and possibilities of the future cooperation between Georgia and Kazakhstan, where he focused on such issues as: strengthened trade relations; energy cooperation; transport and logistics; tourism; agricultural cooperation; education and research; financial cooperation; cross-border investments; regional integration; sustainable development and green technologies, and the second part of the lecture took place in the mode of question-answer and active discussion.
The public lecture was opened by the head of CIU Postgraduate Program in International Relations and International Security, Professor Vakhtang Maisaia, the head of CIU Undergraduate Program in International Relations, Associate Professor Alika Guchua took an active part in the lecture.
Ekaterine Chalaganidze, the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, representatives of the administration and students attended the lecture.
