On September 21, within the framework of the UN Global Goals Week, Caucasus International University hosted a public meeting on the topic: “Women Leaders in Fintech”.
The event was jointly organized by CIU Faculty of Business and Technology and “Fintech Association of Georgia”.
The meeting was opened by the Rector of Caucasus International University, Mr. Kakhaber Kordzaia, the guests were also welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Technology, Ms. Marika Kldiashvili.
During the meeting the keynote speakers were - Ms. Iako Jikia, Director of Business Development and Operations of United Payment Georgia; Ms. Mariam Rusishvili, Founder and Managing Partner of Lightspeed Digital, and Ms. Irina Aleksishvili, Head of Pasha/Re-Bank Remote Banking Department.
The event was moderated by Mr. Davit Kikvidze, chairman of the “Fintech Association of Georgia”.
The meeting discussed the use of information technologies in the field of financial services, including the involvement of banks and other financial institutions. They also placed emphasis on technological innovations and Fintech startups in this direction.
The event was held at the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Lab of Caucasus International University.
Administrative/academic staff and students of the university attended the meeting.
